Your Roles and Responsibilities
While in this position, your duties may include but are not limited to:

- Managing special projects, overseeing each stage from modelling, and drawing, to final inspection and shipping
- Assuring the quality of both the products and processes by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities and confirming manufacturing processes
- Providing information regarding manufacturing decision-making by calculating production, labour, and material costs; reviewing schedules and estimating future requirements while also identifying opportunities to improve products or reduce costs
- Designing, installing, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and keeping equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services
- Determining root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommending changes for improvement
- Mentoring engineers about designing for manufacturing (DFM) to prevent impossible to manufacture parts/assemblies
- Handling the ordering of consumables and purchases required for the production of each project
What you will need to Apply:
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess exceptional quality communication skills in both a verbal and especially a written form, in order to write Standard Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms and Test Methods in a professional standard thatmeets expectations. You will need to be able to confidently read of interpret a variety of related documents and also production drawings. You should also possess good experience within a similar role and have a good understanding of an engineering and manufacturingenvironment, including risks and regulations. It would be highly desirable to have CAM experience and good computer skills alongside a bachelor's degree, although it is not essential to be educated to this level.
What you will get in Return:
For this interesting role the company are offering a starting salary in the region of £35,000 dependent on previous knowledge and experience which can be brought to the role. Alongside this, there will be a good remuneration package which will include a goodholiday allocation and pension contribution, as well as other work-related benefits and incentives.
