In the role of Governance Support Officer, you’ll be predominantly home based with occasional travel to our Waterfront Campus and, less frequently, our other college sites. Your focus will be on providing an excellent customer experience for our valued College governors and senior team, supporting the Director of Governance and Compliance and deputising for him/her as necessary.
You will provide high level administrative support for confidential/commercially sensitive processes including board meetings, HR processes relating to senior postholders, acquisitions or disposals and College re-structuring, whistleblowing investigations, and significant data breaches. Supporting the smooth operation of board meetings, networking events, governor recruitment, training and development, and stakeholder engagement activities, you will be a key enabler of outstanding governance at Kirklees College.
You will be qualified to Level 3 and ideally will have a foundation level qualification in data protection (or be able to evidence relevant experience and willingness to work towards this). It’s important that you have a high level of initiative and are able to work with mínimal supervision and manage your own workload effectively.
