Responsible to a Senior Finance Officer, you will have a key role in supporting all aspect of the accounts (management and statutory) for the organisation, assisting management throughout the Council to fulfil their responsibilities as a budget manager.

**Accountancy**

We are looking for a Finance Officer (High Needs) to work in the area of Service Accountancy. You will work closely with the Senior Finance Officer and also provide support to the Finance Manager in relation to the financial arrangements specifically relating to Children with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). This will involve the monitoring of current expenditure levels, reporting of this information and helping to support the development of new funding arrangements moving forward. The Finance Team work closely with the SEND Transformation Team and this role will have a key involvement in supporting the provision of information between the two. Knowledge and experience of the High Needs area is essential to this role and the ability to analyse, organise and interpret data is also desirable.

You will be AAT qualified, a graduate in a relevant discipline, possess a similar qualification or have a demonstrable ability through experience to work at this level. Experience of working in a finance function providing financial and management accounting support, audit or similar services is desirable but not essential.
