The role - Purchasing Assistant:

We are looking for a tenacious and confident self-starter with a genuine passion for Procurement. Previous administration experience from a procurement/purchasing/buying/inventory/stock control department

Previous experience in the procurement of white goods / appliances

Support the Procurement Department in all procurement related activities.
Serve as the primary contact within the procurement team for all Supplier requests.
Purchase Order Processing: Create and process purchase orders based on MRP demand and purchase requests from various departments. Ensure accuracy in the order details, quantities, delivery timelines and pricing.
Supplier Management: Assist in the maintenance and management of approved suppliers, including contact information, pricing agreements, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to purchasing activities.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, particularly the whole Procurement Team and including finance, operations, design, commercial and inventory management teams, to understand their procurement needs and provide timely and effective procurement support.
Previous administration experience from a procurement/purchasing/buying/inventory/stock control department
· Previous experience in the procurement of white goods / appliances
Knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
Proficiency in using procurement software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
Ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
Familiarity with relevant UK procurement regulations and best practices.
Job Title: Purchasing Assistant
Reporting to: Procurement Manager
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.Temp to Perm after full 12 working weeks
