We are a community-based organization with various empowering ideas that
could potentially make the Bamber Bridge, South Ribble, and Preston area a
more interesting place for people to live and work.
As part of our strategy to impact on the community and build a formidable
workforce, we have launched a team of our volunteers known as V-Squad, the
V-Squad would be responsible for helping us deliver the good stuffs to our
communities.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Help to promote events both online and offline.
- Support colleagues in organizing events and participating in the events.
- Provide support to staff members and other volunteers.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
- Collect data, write, and submit report.
- Follow organisational policies and procedures.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the
organisation.
- Assist with various tasks and activities as assigned by the organisation.
**Requirements**:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and tasks
Due to the nature of our business, most of our events will usually take place
around the Bamber Bridge, South Ribble Valley, and Preston area, therefore
travel may be required.
Events may take place on weekends or evenings so flexibility with timings will
be necessary.
Please note that this is a volunteer position, and no compensation will be
provided. We also do not make any promise of giving a full-time paid job offer,
but when such opportunities become available, we would usually recruit from
the V-squad.
As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to be mentored by a sound
business leader, make a positive impact in the community, gain valuable
experience, and contribute to a worthwhile cause.
As a gesture of goodwill, we would happily give references to volunteers who
have worked for a minimum of 6 months, volunteers who stay for at least 12
months would be given both a reference and a commendation letter.
