The Merchant Hotel is a sumptuous 5 AA Red Star hotel situated in the heart of Belfast city centre's historic Cathedral Quarter, the grandeur of the original Grade A listed building is complemented by an elegant Art Deco inspired wing with a multitude of exciting amenities. These include a stunning luxury spa, a rooftop gymnasium with panoramic city views, a dedicated meeting and events suite and a fabulous jazz bar.

Due to increasing the size of our team, we have an excellent opportunity for a full time **Concierge **to join our established **Front of House team**.

Reporting to the Front of House Manager, you will endeavour to deliver 5* service to guests at all times. As Concierge you will be the hotels first point of contact and getting to know returning customers and individual needs is the key. This is an exciting and engaging role for someone who enjoys a customer facing role to 5 Star standards.

**The rate of pay for this position is £19,760 plus Porterage Fee**

This role will involve working evenings and weekends.

**The role will involve**
- Being the face of The Merchant Hotel to the public
- Valet parking residents cars
- High presence on hotel front doors greeting guests
- Escorting guests to their room along with room inductions
- Suggesting and assisting with activities or bookings pre and during their stay.
- Making restaurant reservations
- Upselling the services within The Merchant Hotel
- Luggage duties for guests and groups

**The essential criteria for this position is**:

- An understanding of the importance of quality guest service
- Excellent Communication, Presentation and Interpersonal skills
- Effective Organizational Skills
- A full clean driving license
- Confident driving different automatic and manually operated cars
- A confident and passionate individual who is driven to deliver excellent customer service
