**The Opportunity**:

- A great opportunity now available to join our team. This role is part of the Integrated Merlin Operational Support (IMOS) Service Management Organisation (SMO) where you would support the IMOS Service Delivery Team in the upkeep of the work scope contained within the Merlin IOS contract.The role is to- Support the IMOS Delivery Team in project managing Out of Scope tasked activities, including the introduction of additional scope into the Integrated Operational Support (IOS) Contract to increase the overall contract value
- Manage Stakeholder and Customer expectation and confidence through building of relationships, effective analysis and communication
- Support the timely delivery of information as required
- Discharge and deliver work packages using Programme/Project Management techniques

**What you will do**:

- Be accountable to the IMOS Service Delivery Manager (SDM):

- Supporting the IMOS SMO (Service Management Organisation) Team in managing and directing activities that support and reinforce the department efforts in effecting significant change upon product or service capability and quality
- Supporting in project managing and delivering Out of Scope task activities received from the UK MOD to an agreed schedule, to increase IMOS contract value and Company revenue.
- Projecting co-ordination across the Concept, Assessment, Demonstration, Manufacture, In-Service, Disposal (CADMID) lifecycle, including:

- Statement of Work
- Schedule
- Cost Adherence
- Risk Management
- Promoting and actively manage Continuous Improvement within the IMOS Programme, ensuring that activities across the 3 sites (RNAS Yeovilton, RNAS Culdrose and Yeovil) are cohesive, efficient, and effective. All operations are to be predicated upon Continuous Improvement Principles, delivering tangible and sustainable benefits to the programme.
- Supporting the IMOS Special Category Work (SCW) process and ensure all claims above the agreed threshold are processed and expedited with the MOD Stakeholder and liaison with material teams ensuring they are processed and tracked through to completion
- Working in partnership with stakeholders (Internal and External) to satisfy fully the needs and requirements of the business, and to manage effectively the expectations of those stakeholders.
- Supporting management change initiatives taking due consideration of the inter relationship of people, processes and organisation.
- Adopting a flexible working attitude to prioritised activities within the Merlin SMO in line with the Departmental Objectives, Merlin Business Plan and Departmental requirements.
- Producing and delivering all Continuous Improvement and SCW reporting requirements both scheduled and ad-hoc
- Supporting the delivery of packages of work using Programme/Project Management techniques including Stakeholder Management, Risk Management and be able to conduct spend analysis using earned value techniques

**What we are looking for**:

- Highly self-motivated individual
- Show a strong aptitude for leadership and the ability to maintain a clear focus on goals and priorities
- Knowledge of the Merlin aircraft and associate systems
- Experience in the planning and scheduling of complex tasks within an aerospace or similar industrial environment.
- Some understanding of Microsoft Project (MSP 2010 is preferable). An in-depth knowledge of the company organisation and operating procedures for business, commercial, finance, technical and procurement
- The interpersonal skills necessary to form, motivate, manage and work in a multi discipline team
- The ability to collect, collate, analyse and present complex information clearly and concisely in writing or verbally to audiences comprising of multi-disciplinary groups
- Good business and commercial awareness, able to take initiative, exploit innovation
- Knowledge of the Integrated Operational Support construct
- To represent Leonardo Helicopters in a positive manner within the UK MOD and key stakeholder community
- Proficiency in working with computers, including common Microsoft packages (e.g. Word, Excel) and SAP.
Other desirable skills (but we can train you on these):

- Experience of Programme/Project Management
- Experience and knowledge of Leonardo Helicopters Budget Control Processes
- Utilise Information Systems, e.g. SAP, SharePoint, Serena, GOLDEsp, Wingman
