**About the Role**:
The New Surgery in Brentwood is looking for an experienced medical receptionist to join our friendly team in providing a high standard of service to our patients.

Responding to the needs of a diverse population, with the ability to work under pressure, the post requires initiative, enthusiasm and empathy with patients.

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, processing of information and assisting patients as required. To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.

Hours/days to be discussed prior to interview. Our opening hours are 8am - 6.30pm. holiday and sickness cover may also be required from time to time

You will need to be a team player, to have excellent communication skills, to be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, and to be confident in dealing with a wide variety of tasks.

Experience of general practice, and knowledge of SystmOne would be advantageous but full training will be given.

**About Us**: We are a busy practice with 13800 patients. We have a ‘Good’ CQC rating. We are in a good location near to Brentwood High Street, with parking available for staff.
