This is a fantastic opportunity for a Communications and Events Manager to join an exciting pet food FMCG business during an exciting period of ambitious growth and change. This is a new and exciting role for the business, so there is a fantastic opportunityto shape and develop the role and direction of the business.

As Communications and Events Manager, you will report into the Head of Marketing, and be responsible for all marketing and brand communication campaigns from concept to execution, delivering consumer and trade events, owning shopper campaigns, and managingthird party agencies and charity partners.

As Communications and Events Manager, you will:

- Work with third party agencies, internal brand, and digital teams to create, evaluate, and own all brand and shopper communications.
- Manage and create the events calendar, lead on exhibitions and events in the UK and abroad - it is essential you are comfortable with pets.
- Own the internal communications strategy, improving communications across all functions.
- Build engaging integrated communications that will work across multi-media platforms for stakeholders across the business.
- Execute activation plans centred on business values and be the custodian for communication and brand integrity.
- Be proactive by identifying communications opportunities that will demonstrate growth for the brands and business.
- Own the shopper marketing plans from briefing agencies to budget ownership to retailer engagement, working with the sales and brand teams to produce best in class.
- Accountable for all trade and consumer PR activity, ensuring performance, budgets and third-party agencies deliver to KPIs.
- Build the partnership strategy with key charity partners and manage the relationship going forward.
- Track marketing trends and competitors, proactively suggesting new working practices that can improve on efficiencies in both ways of working and cost.
- Manage the awards process, annual brand budget for your specific areas and when needed, manage, and develop people.

You will have a strong background in events, shopper, and brand communications, especially in FMCG and within the Grocer environment. You will have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and have a creative flair with attention to detail.You will be results driven and a hands-on who is passionate about making a difference. This is a hybrid working role with expectation to be in HQ in the Northwest 2-3 days per week.
