**Funeral Arranger**

**Responsible for**: Funeral arrangements and Administration

**Responsible to**: Funeral Management Team

**Funeral Arranger (FA) key capabilities**
- Have a professional appearance dressed in company uniform provided.
- Reflect the professional image of the society by following the policies and procedures as set out in the society hand book and funeral department work book.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion and caring approach to clients.
- Follow client confidentiality and current GDPR guidelines.
- Hold a detailed understanding of the bereavement registration process.
- Have a confident knowledge of products and services the funeral department can provide.
- Be capable of using the funeral management system including, data input, posting payments, raising invoices, and data search.
- Professionally liaise with 3rd party agencies to produce a funeral to the client’s satisfaction.
- Be responsible for payments made by clients. This includes cash, Cheque and card payments.
- Community support and promotion.
- A confident understanding of prepaid funeral products including 3rd part products.
- Support visitors with practical and emotional support during branch visits.

**Funeral Arrangers additional duties**

Some funeral arrangers may be responsible for satellite funeral homes. This will involve either lone working or as part of a small team. In these situations, FAs would also be expected to maintain a clean and tidy branch.
- Branch housekeeping.
- Key holding responsibilities.
- Petty cash.
- Community support and promotion.
- Any other duties to support the continuity of the funeral office

**Must be able to work full time for holiday cover
- hours will be reviewed on going and possible full time in medium to long term.**
- **FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £11.91 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 22.5 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
