The role is across the workshop function with opportunities to train in all elements of the requirements of the role. **Job description**

A unique opportunity to join this established family company. The role is essential within the Workshop to ensure efficient preparation and turnaround of vehicles in preparation for rental, customer facing checking vehicles on and off rent. Delivering and collecting vehicles around Liverpool and the North West. We are looking for a self-starter who can use their own initiative, is an excellent communicator to work collaboratively with a team, across the business and with our external customers.

Experience working in a vehicle rental location is desirable but not essential.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you would be fully accountable for vehicle cleanliness, delivery / collection, as part of the role you will be dealing with customers on customer’s premises and the rental branch location. You will provide an indispensable service to the rental desk team underpinning the efficient control of vehicle movements and documenting of vehicle whereabouts and damage. The role is to provide a professional and efficient service to the workshop and rental desk functions. Outlined below are a number of standard duties that this job role entails.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Maintain vehicles to excellent cleanliness standards internally and externally.
- Have a responsibility for the procurement of vehicle supply in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage and communicate vehicle deliveries, collections, and handover standards
- Communicate to existing customers including inspections of vehicles and controls
- Matching, checking outward and return inspection sheets
- Effective recording of damage and customer communication
- Being first point of contact for all vehicle returns
- Maintaining strong relationships with customers
- Maintain personal appearance including the adherence of a company uniform.
- Must hold a full UK, clean driving licence held for a minimum of 4 years.
- An excellent driver with a clean licence held for minimum 4 years - experience driving LCVs up to 3.5T would be advantageous
- Good communication skills, internally and externally, verbal and written
- Team ethos - with solid team working skills
- Self Starter who is self-disciplined and efficient, with a flexible and proactive nature

- Experience in rental operations would be advantageous
- Basic mechanical skills / knowledge are advantageous

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,662 - £26,884 per year dependant on skills and experience.
