A well respected client of Integra People have requested support of the recruitment of a Fleet Checking Controller to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis in their Liverpool location.
Working directly with the Fleet managers and supervisors the role of Fleet Checking Controller will be predominantly working on the yard and in the warehouse. Duties will include checking all fleet vehicles for defects, scratches, scrapes and bumps. Checking Mirrors and bumpers, tyres and doors to ensure the vehicle is safe to be driven on the road.
Any defects seen, ensuring these are logged on their defect system (program on hand held computer) and if the vehicle has what is classed as major damage (enough to be deemed as un-roadworthy) for this to be reported to a supervisor or manager and the driver to be informed that the vehicle cannot be driven that day until the defect is fixed.
The ideal experience for this will be a quality checking role coupled with a prior role working outdoors, potentially a background with vehicles or plant machines.
