**About the role***:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a **Finance Operations Change Assistant **to join our Finance Operations Team.

It’s an exciting time to join, we’re adapting to the changing needs of the business. The role will have the support of experienced finance operations team managers and leaders and will have a flexible approach to work across a variety of small and medium sized change initiatives.

You’ll be working as a key part of the **Finance Operations** team and playing a crucial role in helping us to ensure our finance systems and processes are working appropriately to deal with changes on the horizon and a number of initiatives underway across the Group and within the Finance function itself.

**Key responsibilities**
***:

- Manage the delivery of and support a number of finance operations projects and change initiatives across the group and working with finance and non-finance colleagues to deliver against defined outcomes
- Lead and provide user support with upgrades and testing of our finance payment platforms to ensure they are up to date and compliant
- Provide user support and guidance on system changes implemented throughout Finance
- Review and horizon scan for changes in finance payment regulations, collections and banking requirements and develop and advise on solutions that ensure we continue to be compliant
- Banking administration, including setting user permissions, maintaining bank mandates, opening new accounts and general account maintenance and support with Bacs work
- Support the management in the quality of the service delivered by the operational teams to customers, suppliers and key internal business areas ensuring accuracy, timeliness and efficiency, including management of the controls and standards to ensure compliance with key operating procedures and policies and delivery against SLAs
- Promote continual process improvement across the team to ensure processes and tasks are constantly evolving to deliver maximum efficiency for the group
- Ensure the delivery of a flexible service which meets the needs of our customers, suppliers, colleagues and key parts of the business

**Knowledge, skills and experience**
***:

- Knowledge of finance payment platforms and processes that are used for collecting and paying money including direct debits, direct credits, credit cards, electronic payments and cheques
- Finance knowledge with some finance system understanding would be helpful
- Strong communicator with differing stakeholders
- Ability to draft, contribute to and review project papers to support stakeholders
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple streams of work at any one time
- Ability to grasp and walk-through processes identifying gaps, improvements and any changes required
- Ability to understand specifications and identify requirements
- Confident in addressing and escalating matters with colleagues and stakeholders to resolve issues
- Strong attention to detail
- Moderate Excel skills is desirable
- A good understanding of risk and control and how to mitigate those risks. This will relate to the finance operations processes and include PCI compliance, segregation, money laundering and fraud
