HSBC Asset Management (AM), the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. HSBC Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC’s clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.
HSBC Alternative Investments Ltd (HAIL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC Global Asset Management (AMG) that specializes in alternative investment products. HAIL currently provides top-tier indirect alternative solutions in Hedge Funds and Private Markets, as well as direct alternative solutions in Private Debt, Infrastructure Debt, and real asset opportunities. The Investment Specialist will be part of the Private Markets Investment Specialists team and will report directly to the Head of Private Markets Investment Specialists. This individual will collaborate with the Head of Investment Specialists to support the growth of the Private Markets business, promote the capability internally and externally, and contribute to the execution of the sales strategy for new and existing products and capabilities.

In this role you will:
- Assist in executing the growth plan by supporting new product launches and campaigns while prioritizing client experience initiatives to uphold high-quality service
- Take charge of product launches and collaborate with junior team members to ensure timely delivery of materials as an Investment Specialist
- Develop marketing materials such as pitch books, teasers, PPMs (Private Placement Memorandum), RFPs (Request for Proposal), FAQs, and educational content to showcase the benefits of the product suite and capabilities.
- Conduct market research and communicate sales propositions, whitepapers, and investment opportunities based on in-depth analysis of private markets (e.g. private equity) and competitor positioning.
- Provide continuous support to both internal and external clients for new and current products across all product categories. Serve as the main point of contact for product and capability inquiries.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Prior client management experience and familiarity with various structural solutions are crucial
- Strong technical abilities, commercial acumen, and a genuine passion for Private Markets are essential
- A curious and analytical mindset along with the ability to collaborate with various teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong relationship building and presentation abilities are vital for this position.
