**Would you like the opportunity for a challenging and diverse career within a friendly team of consultants?**

This is a permanent, full-time role and will include site visits throughout the UK and occasional overnight stays. You will quickly be responsible for your own projects as well as inputting to others and will have direct contact and mentoring by Company Directors and senior staff.

Hafren Water is a leading independent water management consultancy. We believe that consultancy is more than providing reports and specialise in interpreting our client’s needs and problem solving. To do this best we pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with our clients who regularly return with repeat business. Being a smaller company we can be very responsive to both staff and client needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assessment of baseline conditions for various developments, including quarries, restoration and infrastructure projects
- Undertaking a wide range of fieldwork investigations including drilling supervision, pumping tests and monitoring
- Interpretation of analytical and monitoring data
- Liaison with regulators and clients
- Assistance to senior staff with preparation of Hydrogeological Impact Assessments for Planning Applications for a range of developments including mineral extraction sites and landfills

**Experience and qualifications required**:

- Bachelors/under-graduate degree in Geology or related Earth Science with an MSc in Hydrogeology
- Ability to work well in teams, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Physical fitness to assist field work
- Membership of a professional body and working towards relevant Chartership preferred
- Strong commercial awareness
- Prior experience of working within a consultancy would be advantageous, but is not essential
- Full clean driving licence
