**Job overview**:
Sowenna, meaning “success” is Cornwall’s first Children and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH) Inpatient Unit providing treatment for young people aged between 13 and 18yrs and working collaboratively with the Community CAMHS teams, ensuring a seamless whole service approach. At Sowenna our emphasis is on providing a therapeutic environment, offering a holistic approach to treatment in a safe and supported space which promotes rehabilitation and recovery. We work with various professionals, carers and community staff to ensure effective delivery of care and a planned, safe and timely discharge. We are now looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Dietician with an experience of working in eating disorders. This is an exciting opportunity for a dietitian to be part of this developing service.
**Main duties of the job**:
- To plan and deliver a high quality Nutrition and Dietetic service to this area and contribute to service development as required.
- To work as a senior autonomous practitioner delivering a high quality dietetic service in Cornwall Foundation Trust.
- To help to support and/or establish audit and robust evaluation of the dietetic service
- To have a high level of knowledge, skills and experience in order to approach tasks with an open and understanding mind and deal with situations in a timely and empathic manner.
- To be responsible for nutrition and dietetic participation in multi-professional teams and contribute to policy making as directed by the head of service.
- To work as a key member of the Multi-disciplinary Team.
- To work as a key member of the Dietitians Mental Health Team within Cornwall Foundation Trust.
