**About the Role**:
**Are you an experienced Human Resources Assistant? This is an exciting opportunity to join our HR Business Partnering Team supporting colleagues in our Academic Schools.**:
**You will have a proven track record of working within a fast-paced and busy HR department and will provide a proactive, customer focused, effective and value-added HR support service. You'll be able to work logically and proactively, and be capable of managing a high volume of varied activities.**:
**You'll be able to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels in order to develop professional, effective working relationships.**:
**The role is varied and interesting, and will involve you advising our managers and employees on a variety of HR matters, including**:

- Maternity and paternity provisions
- HR policies, including flexible working and probation
- Contract management
- Employee relations (including supporting casework as a note-taker)
- Project work opportunities
- Fixed-term contracts and redundancies
- Data compliance
- Immigration & visa sponsorship

You will also be responsible for the administration of the above and will have the opportunity to support the HR team in a wider range of generalist activities and projects. Experience of iTrent HR system would be advantageous, although training will be provided.
