**Payroll Administrator**

**Luton, Beds**

**£26,000 - 30,000**

The main purpose of this role is to administer payroll data and ensure accurate and timely submissions to the payroll system, whilst maintaining correct records.

Working for a very well-established business based in Luton, this role is an excellent opportunity for confident Payroll Administrator who is keen to continue their development. You will ideally have strong previous payroll experience and be computer literatewith knowledge of excel.

The role is office based, 5 days per week - you will therefore need to be able to commute to Luton daily.

You will ideally have a flexible nature and able to meet multiple deadlines on a daily basis.

The role requires a confident, enthusiastic and self-motivated person who has a determination to succeed.

You will enjoy being a part of a dynamic team who work closely together to achieve joint departmental goals.

Key duties:

- Inputting starter information on to payroll system with a high level of accuracy
- Processing leavers
- Issuing tax forms e.g. P45’s, P60’s
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK checks
- Processing numerous payrolls weekly for over 9000 employees, processing the wages journal, dealing with payroll queries
- Reconciling wages accounts
- Carry out payroll calculations such as Maternity, Paternity, Sickness and Pension
- Be responsible for all statutory requirements including RTI
- Sending information and liaising with HMRC
- Preparing and uploading Auto Enrolment reports (Excel) to Workplace Pension Provider
- Checking timesheets and amend when needed
- Create and analysing reports on timesheet statistics using Excel
- Liaise with the finance department to resolve any issues
- Assist in the running of the weekly payroll operation
- Administrative duties such as scanning, photocopying and filing.
