**Job Req ID**:29035**Posting Date**:24 Jan 2024**Function**:Apprentices**Location**:Hatfield Business Park, Hatfield, United Kingdom**Salary**:20,000.00- 2024 UK Higher Level Project Management Apprenticeship Scheme

You’re not just looking for a career, you’re looking to make a difference.

We connect friends to family, clients to colleagues, people to possibilities. We keep the wheels of business spinning, and the emergency services responding. And we use the power of technology to help solve big challenges, like climate change and cyber security.

From day one, you’ll have a voice at BT Group. You’ll get stuck in to tough challenges, pitch in with ideas, make things happen. You won’t be alone: we’ll be there with help and support, learning and development. You’ll make great friends, discover new talents, and feel part of something exhilarating.

This is your chance to make a real difference to the world. Grab it.
About this role

Our Programme & Project Management teams are responsible for providing professional services to some of our most complex customer contracts within our business. Through effective governance, we help reduce risk, improve the probability of successful delivery and - most importantly - improve customer satisfaction.

As a Project Co-ordinator, you’ll support the delivery of a range of provision, migration or transition projects and programmes within the wider portfolio of work. You’ll be responsible for the planning and delivery of work packages or small projects within a larger programme or project, either independently or under the direction of a more senior project manager. You’ll need to be highly organised so that you know what needs to be done and in what order. You’ll also develop stakeholder management skills; critical to keeping projects on track, as well as delighting our customers. You’ll be identifying potential problems and working out how to fix them before they happen, as part of good practice in risk management.

We’ll teach you how to become an expert in project management, starting with the basics and working up to more complex work over time. We’ll support your learning through buddying, job shadowing, formal training and through managing your own work packages and projects. You’ll learn how to deal with internal and external suppliers and customers, and how to address challenging situations. It won’t just be about the technical skills though, we’ll help you to develop so that you can work professionally and independently, taking responsibility and initiative.

This job is available in Business.
About the apprenticeship

This apprenticeship will last 18 months and 20% of your working hours will be dedicated to learning and studying. At the end of your hard work, you will gain a level 4 qualification in Project Management.

As an apprentice, you will study for a nationally recognised qualification as you gain hands on experience in our industry. After successful completion of this apprenticeship, you could kick start a successful career in project management and be eligible to get professional membership of the Association of Project Management.
Entry Requirements

You will need to achieve two A-Levels with a minimum of C grades. You’ll also need a minimum of five GCSEs at grades 4 - 9 (GCSE C or above) including English Language and Maths. Equivalent qualifications are accepted. Please note if you have already completed a Level 4 qualification in Project Management, you will not be eligible for this apprenticeship.
