Excelling in communication, both verbal and nonverbal, establishing rapport with patients and caregivers.

Making confident decisions and communicating them effectively, ensuring clarity and understanding. Recognising and initiating where appropriate advice of relevant specialisms. Maintaining appropriate clinical records in line with current practice guidelines. Working effectively as part of a multi professional team in collaboration with other members of the service.

Discharging or referring patients as appropriate to internal or external clinical pathways. There are a variety of shifts available, working in a base seeing patients face to face, home visiting or telephone triage. To be a successful Advanced Practitioner youll need: To be a registered Adult Nurse registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), a Paramedic registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), a pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) Registered as an independent non-medical prescriber. A minimum of 2 modules at Level 7, these must include advanced assessment and clinical examination skills and minor illness.

Capability to conduct a concise clinical history and physical examination. The ability to formulate a differential diagnosis management plan. Effective communication abilities in clinical settings, alongside strong verbal and written skills, and proficiency in computer usage. Strong negotiation skills and critical thinking techniques.
