We are working with **SEN Schools **across **Nottinghamshire** to support them in their recruitment for **Teaching Assistants**.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated **SEN Teaching Assistant** to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting children aged 5**-19** with a wide range of **physical and neurological challenges**. Your responsibilities will include assisting students in their daily activities, adapting to their unique needs, and providing the necessary care to ensure their well-being.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with students who may have physical and neurological challenges.
- Support students with personal care tasks, including toileting and feeding.
- Assist with manual handling, including hoisting and working with children in wheelchairs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individualized education plans.
- Promote independence and social interaction among students.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to students.
- Be flexible in your approach, supporting various needs across the school.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
- Manual handling experience and knowledge of hoisting techniques preferred.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the students.
- An understanding of SEN principles and best practices.
