Part Time Accounts Clerk

**Accounts Clerk**
Part Time 3-4 days a week
8am-4.30pm (with 30min unpaid lunch), potential for days to increase up to 5.
Salary £22,000 FTE
Duties include:
- Processing **correctly** and **accurately** purchase ledger invoices and credit notes
- Reconciling supplier statements **accurately**:
- Sending remittances - **ensuring** these are **monitored** and resent where necessary.
- Creating **accurately** BACS files for upload to Internet bank
- **Processing** nominal ledger payments **accurately** when required
- **Maintaining** the PO system - closing any redundant purchase orders & maintaining a **sound**& **reliable**system for records that may need to be referred to in future.
- **Eliminating**negative balances from the ledger
- **Maintaining** the purchase ledger and **ensuring** the tidiness of it as well as the **accuracy**:
- Dealing with **ALL** issues within the purchase ledger regardless of the origination of the issue - to liaise with any colleagues as necessary but to take **responsibility** & be **accountable** for the purchase ledger as a whole.
- Allocating **accurately** cash, credit notes, invoices etc
- **Managing** supplier expectations whilst making **commercially sound**decisions in advising on payments
- **Ensuring** the **goodwill** of suppliers is maintained
- Being able to **accurately** forecast payments for valuable input into cash flow analysis
- Period end routine
