Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team at Larking Gowen. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and support with regular bookkeeping tasks, VAT returns, and management accounts.

In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand their accounting needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in cloud accountancy packages such as QuickBooks and Xero.

The ideal candidate will have prior bookkeeping experience and good IT skills, with the ability to learn new software quickly. A vehicle is required for client visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional client service and support with regular bookkeeping tasks, VAT returns, and management accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their accounting needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud accountancy packages and ensure that clients receive the best possible service.

Requirements:

  • Prior bookkeeping experience.
  • Good IT skills and ability to learn new software.
  • Cloud accountancy package skills (QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Vehicles access for client visits.
