Graduate Hotels is seeking a full-time **Front of House Receptionist **to join Graduate Cambridge and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts.

The 148-bedroom Graduate Cambridge hotel is part of the Graduate Hotels collection inspired by the prestigious University of Cambridge and its surrounding town. Set right on the River Cam, in the heart of Cambridge's historic centre. The hotel feels like an extension of the university, with nods to college architecture.

**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Greets guests as they arrive, focusing on personal recognition in a warm and authentic manner 
- Understands the key points to communicate for a Graduate Arrival experience 
- Review arrival lists daily and assists in preparing and assembling welcome amenities, including welcome cards
- Be familiar with VIPs arriving for the day
- Answer the telephone within three rings with a smile and answer questions accordingly or transfer as needed to the relevant department
- Maintaining positive working relationships within the Front of House team and with other departments (housekeeping, food and beverage, sales, etc.)
- Responsible for issued bank - count bank at beginning and end of shift
- Ensure that all cash drops are done in accordance with proper cash handling procedures and report all cash over/ shorts to management
- Assist with activities within the lobby area
- Carry out daily tasks with GDPR always in mind
- Ensues the Front of the House area is always cleaned, stocked and tidy
- Follows through and feels ownership of guest requests 
- Resolves guest complaints in a professional and efficient manner 
- Actively participates in Front Desk upsell program 
- Check Alice regularly for guest requests/Maintenance issues/communication between departments
- Other duties as assigned

- Previous experience of Opera (desirable)
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
