**About Us**:
The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are: Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other public spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with 77 million visits every year.

We are now looking for a Head of Commercial Communications to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

**The Role**:
As our Head of Commercial Communications, you will develop a commercial communications strategy, incorporating our communications approach to events, ceremonies and our wider commercial activities, incorporating a focus on the customer journey, experience and feedback.

Overseeing the implementation of an activity plan, you will promote our work through our owned channels and work with partners who deliver contracted out events, activities and services to deliver communications tactics through press, PR, social media and websites.

You will lead on communications related to ceremonial events, working with partners across London.

You will support wider communications work to develop awareness of The Royal Parks brand - who we are, what we do, why it is important and how people can support our parks.

You will also attend weekly communications team meetings, contribute to the comms calendar and regularly support the wider communications agenda, including when on call out of hours.

Additionally, you will:

- Ensure webpages, Q&As, stats and facts, core scripts, etc are up to date
- Work on-site at major events
- Support events tenders
- Promote our catering, boating and swimming services
- Promote our Retail shop
- Promote opportunities for filming in the Royal Parks
- Develop a robust narrative around the improving sustainability of our activities
- Develop and rehearse crisis communications plans
- Give increased focus to community engagement in some areas
- You will have line management responsibility for the Event Communications Manager

Please note, this role will involve participation in an on-call rota.

**About You**:
To be considered as our Head of Commercial Communications, you will need:

- Experience leading communications strategies and plans for events and activities
- Experience leading commercial communications activities
- Experience leading effective media relations strategies
- Experience of successfully implementing crisis management PR
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills
- A communications qualification or senior experience relevant to the role
