**Full time (35 hours per week)
**The Opportunity**:
The post-holder will be expected to provide timely, accurate and up-to-date research management information and work closely with the Head of RKEI and the Research Director to develop and manage procedures and policies relating to research activities to maximise service quality, efficiency and effectiveness. The post-holder will also line-manage research project staff supporting their performance management and development and will provide administrative support for the co-ordination of arrangements for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) submission.

**Skills and Attributes for Success**
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent formal training, plus hands-on experience in a similar or related role(s)
- Either HNC/HND or equivalent level qualifications plus relevant work experience or Broad experience, acquired through a combination of job related training and considerable on-the-job experience, demonstrating development through involvement in progressively more demanding relevant work/roles
- Proven high-quality communication, liaison, presentation and relationship-building skills, with evidence of the ability to persuade and negotiate.
- A commitment to accuracy and high attention to detail (particularly in maintaining financial-related data)
- Highly developed time-management and organisational skills, with an experience of dealing with conflicting demands and prioritising workload in a fast-paced environment. Ability to sustain a high level of performance under pressure.
- Ability to construct written presentations, gather and analyse information and report on it accurately.
- Line management or supervisory experience.
- Excellent IT, data and digital skills, including Microsoft Office and reporting tools with the awareness and capacity to update these skills in line with advances in technology and requirements of the role
- Ability to work both within a team and, independently with minimum supervision, and to solve problems as they arise
