Clinical Practice Trainer

Liverpool, United Kingdom North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust Full time

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Clinical Practice Trainer to the Mersey area within our established Mandatory Training team, as part of the wider Education & Learning team.

The Mersey Area Clinical Practice Trainer will be responsible for the delivery of Mandatory Training within the Mersey area, alongside the other two Cheshire & CAM area Clinical Practice Trainer’s. The role will also be required to support Core Induction Training, practice-based learning and CPD delivery and also involves the support of staff on return-to-work programmes.

The role is based at Estuary Point, but as Mandatory Training is delivered all across the north west and you will be required to support delivery of training at venues across the whole footprint of the Trust, including North and South Cumbria, as required.

We are looking for a qualified Paramedic, with HCPC registration and evidence of excellent patient care skills. Individuals, ideally, will hold a recognised teaching qualification at diploma level or equivalent or be working towards one. We will be looking for individuals with a proven experience in training delivery in a related field that could be translated into ambulance education practices.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.

Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
