**WHAT TO EXPECT**

The Opportunity

The main purpose is to provide the first line of supervision to the maintenance operational team MLA BS2. This role will also support the team to adhere to standards and processes, ensuring the highest Quality Standards are achieved and manages problem solving to ensure sustained improvements to business performance.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities include:

- Update and track all required documentation In line with JLR SQDCPE framework.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of all equipment, planned and unplanned
- Assist Maintenance personal with basic equipment troubleshooting and maintain/improve systems
- Utilize maintenance windows to coordinate routine and non-routine activities on assigned equipment in order to ensure safety, product quality and optimum line efficiency. Will work across shifts and functions as needed to effectively operate as a team
- Complete and document preventive maintenance inspections on assigned line as assigned by the Maintenance Leader. Recommend and implement continuous improvement on equipment/systems design
- Recording and documentation as required by manual, computer and other systems. Ensures documentation is accurately
- Holds team accountable to high standards across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale
- Ensure the team is organized and focused on the right business priorities at all times and provide continuity between shifts.
- Lead meetings, develop and owns plan for the shift that align with expected results for your area of responsibility, set direction for team and support team members where needed
- Lead the execution of the plan during the shift including pit stops, loss elimination
- Coordinate labour coverage with Supervisor including overtime coverage
- Lead point of contact on technical projects in work area, interface with engineering on success criteria and start-up
- Maintain a good working relationship with associates on all shifts within all departments, while supporting plant and departmental goals and vision
- Train/Coach associates in area of responsibility on operations and technical understanding of equipment
- Meet regularly with team members to share observations and identify help needed
- Provide corrective actions and recommendations for improvements to the process through problem solving tools (PPS /8D)
- Manage housekeeping activities and validate effectiveness
- Check all paperwork for compliance
- Reports and corrects unsafe acts and conditions. Recommends corrective action when necessary
- All other duties as assigned by management in order to support efficient plant operations

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**

Knowledge and Experience

Essential:

- Previous experience in Maintenance operations
- Knowledge of BIW equipment such as SPR, ABB,SCA
- Ability to solve problems and naturally strive for continuous improvement
- Attention to detail and analytical skills
- Knowledge and experience of delivering metrics
- Relevant indentured or advanced modern apprenticeship or equivalent experience

Desirable:

- Knowledge of Quality Operating Systems procedures & deliverables
- Ability to coordinate and motivate a team
- Experience of generating and delivering team briefs
