The vacancy is for a general farm worker on a family run mixed farm. The farm comprises of 100 spring calving suckler cows and 500 sheep including 150 pedigree texels which lamb in March and April. Alongside grassland for the livestock, we also farm a rotation of combinable crops and fodder beet. We have machinery to allow us to carry out all silage and arable operations. While there is some flexibility in working hours, the workload does vary seasonally and it would be expected that an employee would be willing to work more hours during busy periods such as lambing and harvest.
