London, United Kingdom Checkit Full time

Checkit uniquely combines smart sensors and workflow software to provide the analytics and insights that complex organisations need to deliver a safer, more efficient and streamlined service to their customers. Our clients are spread across the healthcare, biopharma, assisted living, food service and facilities management sectors.- This role, based within our HR & Estates team, will build on our recent evolution of how we attract, select, onboard, develop and retain talent within the business, by creating and implementing an internal communications plan that informs, educates, motivates and engages all of our people across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has begun their career journey in internal comms and employee engagement, and is ready to step up and own both strategy and delivery in this space, for our UK and US businesses. It’s a role where you’ll be able to build your programme of comms and engagement activities, and make a meaningful positive difference to how we talk to our people.- We’re looking for someone with good previous experience in a related role in the comms and engagement field, who is able to quickly develop our strategic approach, then execute and deliver against it with a comprehensive suite of creative and engaging communication methods and materials. We need someone with a passion for employee wellbeing and a strong desire to promote and enhance what we do around diversity, equity and inclusion.- This is a hybrid role working mostly from home, however regular visits to our offices in Fleet, Cambridge and London will be required, and as such we’re looking for someone based in or around south-east England. What you'll be doing
- Nurturing and enhancing Checkit’s work culture and employee engagement via the development and implementation of communication initiatives and strategies that foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and highlight key elements of Checkit’s work culture. Helping to define exactly what our culture is and what we want it to be.
- Creating and executing internal communication campaigns that align with Checkit’s values, mission, and work culture goals, and which promote wellbeing, diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.
- Developing and implementing initiatives that boost employee morale and engagement, encourage open communication and transparency among employees, and foster a sense of belonging and camaraderie.
- Coordinating recognition programs and events to celebrate employee achievements, milestones, and contributions to the company’s success.
- Supporting change management initiatives by developing clear and compelling communication materials that help employees understand and embrace changes in the workplace, and that drive adoption of new processes.
- Gathering feedback from employees through surveys, focus groups, and other methods to assess the effectiveness of internal communication efforts related to work culture.
- Working with the internal Marketing team based in the US to ensure that external marketing communications are correctly reflected internally.
- Supporting the CHRO and ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) committee with initiatives relating to diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Leading the Checkit social committee to produce regular social events that employees engage with and find enjoyable, thus promoting cohesion and positive relationships among teams.
- Analysing communication metrics and using insights to refine communication strategies and improve engagement levels.
- Working closely with the CHRO, CEO, Talent Acquisition, the wider HR team, leadership teams, and other departments to align communication strategies with organisational objectives and initiatives.
- Building strong relationships with employees at all levels, ensuring their voices are heard and valued in shaping the organisation’s working environment.

What we're looking for
- No specific qualifications are required, however a Media or Communications degree or CIPD accreditation would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in internal communications and employee engagement related roles is vital.
- Proven ability to develop creative and engaging communication materials.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools, intranet platforms, and social media channels, with the ability to create online content.
- An understanding of how generative AI can be applied within an internal communications and engagement context.
- An understanding of how diversity, equity and inclusion principles can be applied to positive effect.
- Understanding of change management principles and methodologies.
- Strong project management skills with ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyse data and extract meaningful insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
