E-systems Business Change Lead

Sheffield, United Kingdom Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust Full time

This post is an exciting opportunity to join the e-Systems team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

The e-Systems team is responsible for the management of many clinical systems across the Trust, including the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and its component parts including the Patient Administration System (PAS), the electronic Document Management System (eDMS) and several others.

You will be a compassionate, accountable individual who treats all colleagues, patients and service users with respect and seeks to deliver excellence in your role. You will share the Trust values and be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.

As well as the "business as usual" upkeep and support to the front line staff using our systems, we are involved with multiple projects at any one time.

These include working with our clinical and administrative colleagues, IT department and system suppliers to optimise the systems in situ, migrating departments from old and/or paper based systems to the central Trust systems, and the introduction of new systems, from procurement through project and implementation to settled business as usual practices. We have recently implemented an expansive EPR across our inpatient services and will continue to expand this across all services in the coming months and years.

Your role will take a lead primarily with these projects, working closely with the front end teams, e-Systems System Managers and IT Project Managers to help initiate change, both in working practices with new or existing electronic system solutions, and with system configuration adaptations to fit the local needs.

Sheffield Children’s is one of three independent, specialist paediatric hospitals in the country, providing dedicated healthcare for children and young people across community, mental health and acute specialist settings.

We have three overarching aims that set the direction for the Trust in our vision to create a healthier future for children and young people.
- Outstanding patient care
- Brilliant place to work
- Leader in children’s health

Our commitment to rewarding colleagues is demonstrated through our brilliant reward and benefits offer including; generous annual leave entitlement and pension scheme and access to salary sacrifice schemes such as cycle to work and lease cars. The Hospital is situated in the heart of Sheffield which is a vibrant and exciting place to work with the Peak District a 15 minute drive.

We are an equal opportunities employer with a commitment to support all our staff. This is supported through the offer we have in place for flexible working and the three equality network groups we have in place. Colleagues are encouraged to join these groups and request flexible working.

For more information on the main responsibilities for this post, please refer to the job description and person specification.
