An exciting new permanent opportunity has arisen at the London Fire Brigade to join the Transformation department as a Senior Continuous Performance Officer. The postholder will be responsible for supporting the development and embedding of a strategy forcontinuous improvement across the Brigade. They will work with the Performance Analyst to identify areas of underperformance and provide support to services in developing KPIs, identifying drivers of poor performance and implementing strategies and measuresto monitor improvement.

The role is full time, Monday to Friday, the office is based near London Bridge and offers hybrid working, with 3-4 days’ work from home arrangements available.

**Salary range - £47,385 to £61,529 (dependant on experience)**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Assist the Professional Head of Performance Improvement in creating a strategy for embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the Brigade.
- Liaising with the Performance Analyst to understand areas of organisational underperformance.
- Regularly meet with the Heads of Service or other key stakeholders who are responsible for areas where we are not meeting targets or trajectories to offer support.
- Act as a “business consultant” for key corporate projects, offering guidance and training on continuous improvement strategies, understanding data, and using it to make decisions.
- Working as part of the wider Performance Improvement Team on larger projects to improve the Brigade’s approach to Performance Management and Improvement.
- Establish a training strategy to ensure all staff have access to a range of tools and training sessions to carry out successful improvement projects in their areas.
- Develop templates, tools, videos, and training packs which will assist services in clearly understanding and creating their key outcomes, drivers, measures and change ideas.
- Act as a key point of contact for anyone in the Brigade regarding continuous improvement.
- Develop reporting techniques and reports that enable the Brigade to understand the progress of the continuous improvement strategy.
- Participate in compilation of the reports as part of the performance improvement cycle where continuous improvement is a key part.
- Participate in responding to internal and external queries relating to continuous improvement.
