**The Role**:
NHS Lanarkshire’s COVID-19 Vaccination Programme is part of the National Vaccination Programme in line with the Department of Health’s Scottish Government Guidance and is one of the largest Vaccination Programmes ever undertaken. The Vaccination Programme will be rolled out to the adult population in Lanarkshire in response to vaccination needs of unique individuals and specific priority groups

**In general, the post holder will**:

- Administer COVID vaccinations to individuals in clinics or at home, providing person centred, quality based care
- Undertake pre-immunisation patient assessment, including precautions, contraindications, determination or any patient specific requirement
- Administer vaccinations to identified individuals from groups of the population in line with priorities outlined in Scottish Government Guidance
- Administer vaccinations to the population within various settings and travel throughout NHS Lanarkshire to meet the needs of the service
- Identify, respond and manage any adverse events following vaccination as appropriate to the clinical setting
- Act in accordance with professional codes of conduct, ethical and legal standards in all aspects of the vaccination programme

**Additional Information Specific to the Role**

The post holder will predominately be carrying out vaccinations to people either in a clinic setting or in their own homes.

**Due to travel required the post holder must have a clean valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes**

**Please note if a part time post is accepted then the salary for the position will be pro-rata.**

**Location and Working Pattern**:
This role will be based in The Vaccination Service covering NHS Lanakrshire but will be based at Kirklands - NHSL Headquarters

The working pattern for this role is 8am-8pm.
