The post holder will undertake care duties for patients in support of and delegated by the Registered Nurse, within a hospital or similar setting. Reports patient condition to registered staff.

Evidence knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment.

Undertake on the job training and induction

Undertake mandatory HCSW standards

Evidence ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Evidence effective written and verbal communication skills

Have ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.

Evidence working knowledge of basic information technology.

Our Specialist Inpatient Assessment Treatment Unit for people with learning disabilities at Kirklands, Bothwell will be holding a recruitment evening at Head Quarters at Kirklands Hospital on Thursday 18th May at 6pm-8.30pm.
