**Overview**:
Working together as a **Planning and Development Service** we deliver an efficient, high quality, resilient and customer-focused service to the residents of Buckinghamshire.

**This position is a fixed-term contract for 18 months in the Amersham team.**

**About us**:
Three planning technical services teams offer planning support in the provision of a wide range of planning services. The teams current cover different geographic Buckinghamshire Council areas:

- North & Central area (based in Aylesbury),
- West area (based in High Wycombe), and,
- East and South area (based in Amersham).

**About the role**:
The details of this post are set out in the attached job summary. It will be based at our Amersham office.

As one of the largest Unitary Planning Authorities in the country the work is extremely varied and offers great opportunity for continuous learning and development.

**Key Accountabilities**

This role is very varied and will include:

- Delivering, or supporting the delivery of, the many discretionary planning services designed to delivery assistance and excellent value for money to our customers.

**Any-Desk**:
As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.

**About you**:
We are looking for someone with good customer skills, great attention to detail, an ability to be proactive in working to deliver the many deadlines the teams work involves and someone who enjoys a challenging but very rewarding workload.

**Other information**:
The closing date will be Monday 10 April with interviews provisionally set for 19 and 20 April. Interviews will be in-person at our Amersham office but an online interview could be arranged if personal circumstances require this.
