Due to significant investment in psychological professions and psychological services in Cornwall Partnership Foundation Trust (CFT), we are looking for a skilled and innovative person, to contribute as Consultant Psychologist in the next phase of our recruitment programme for Dementia and Older People’s Mental Health services. We are willing and able to be flexible in order to recruit the right person, including offering part-time and remote/hybrid working options as required.

The Trust is committed to leadership development in the psychological professions to drive forward developments in psychological services. We are in the process of a transformation programme across the organisation to increase access to high quality psychological interventions. We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting older people and people with dementia, who has the right expertise and experience to support our team at the beginning of a transformation of services. **Main duties of the job**:

- To provide clinical leadership to the DOPMH Psychology and Psychological Therapies (PPT) team. To work autonomously, within professional guidelines, with responsibility for the governance of psychological practise within the PPT team.
- In line with the national policy and local drivers, to provide a highly specialist clinical psychology and neuropsychology service to older adults with complex and intractable problems relating to severe serious mental, organic and physical illness.
- To provide highly specialist consultancy and clinical supervision in this area to members of the PPT and DOPMH multi-disciplinary teams within the Trust.
- To participate in the Trust’s long-term planning and development of services for people with dementia and older adults with serious mental illness.
