**Payroll Assistant, York, £20-£22,000 (hybrid working)**

Due to growth an Accountancy Practice is looking to recruit a Payroll Assistant to work from their York office, there is the option of hybrid working (2 days from home after probation)

To be considered you should have experience of working in an accountancy practice or payroll bureau. Training can be provided.

Their York office has parking onsite and close to bus links

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Setting up new clients
- Adding new payroll clients to Sage and creating their account with HMRC
- CIS Submissions
- Sage 50 payroll experience advantageous
- Liaising with pension scheme providers to ensure all clients pension arrangements are in order
- Have a clear understanding of payroll
- Auto Enrolment Duties
- Setting up of different pension providers

**Requirements**:

- At least a year’s payroll experience, ideally in a bureau background or accountancy practice
- Experience running multiple payrolls
- Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
- Knowledge of payroll systems
- Able to work well as part of a team as well as independently
