Job Spec and **Key responsibilities**:
Due to forecast growth a position has become available at Arrowsmith Engineering Ltd for an Estimating Assistant. The role presents an opportunity to join a fast paced, dynamic and growing aerospace engineering business, which is part of the ASG group of companies The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting the sales and estimating team.
- Setting up new enquiries in the internal systems, including downloading and uploading supporting documents from customer portals. Updating the enquiry tracker and assigning the project to an estimator.
- Compiling information for quotation submissions including any supporting documents.
- Undertaking quote comparisons from suppliers where multiple quotes have been received for the same package of work.
- Preparing presentations for tenders in the format required by the customer.

Liaising with the Business Development Manager and General Manager.
- Attending weekly estimating meetings. Taking minutes and progressing any actions.
- Responding to telephone calls in relation to enquiries and dealing directly with the query or passing on to the relevant person responsible.
- Undertaking general admin duties.
- Have a confident telephone manner.
- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and have a strong degree of attention to detail.
- Be able to manage own workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Have good knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel and Access.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.

The Person:
**Skills**:

- Admin experience.
- Commercial awareness.
- Aerospace industry experience an advantage
- IT - Microsoft packages (excel, word, access, office)
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to interact with people at all levels and all departments both internally and externally.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Able to work to deadlines.
- Experience of manufacturing/Precision machining.

This is a full time permanent role, based at Arrowsmith Engineering (Cov) Ltd, Bayton Road, Exhall. The role offers a competitive salary and annual leave allowance and includes company pension and onsite parking.
