**Purpose**

As a HSQE Advisor, you will support the Contracts Engineer and Planning Manager to manage, monitor and continuously improve quality systems and performance. You will facilitate and integrate Operational Excellence Initiatives into the business processes and deliver the business audit plan for both Internal and External stakeholders, manage audit actions and monitor the close out of corrective actions.

The HSQE Advisor will manage Transmission Network Operations documentation library, leading document and policy reviews and updates and administer scorecard reporting metrics ensuring data is accurate and meets the required governance standards.

**Responsibilities**
- Establishment, communication and continual improvement of the IMS processes: will include management of the process flow mapping of the business and associated documentation
- Responsibility and authority for the business IMS complying with appropriate external accreditation with respect to HSEQ e.g. ISO 9001, 14001, 18001
- Establish and maintain a risk management framework for managing risk within Networks Projects
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting to senior management status against the business’s H&S, Quality and Environmental Objectives
- Responsible for all communication with respect to the IMS (updates, new processes) within Networks Projects.
- Responsible for developing planned inspections within the business against compliance with the IMS, including follow up reports and communication with affected delivery unit
- Develop and maintain an annual plan of internal audits against the IMS and wider requirements of external Accreditations
- Develop, implement, promote and manage the lessons learned process across Networks Projects including periodic performance reports to demonstrate effectiveness of the process
- Act as a centralized function for the coordination of non-conformities (and corrective actions) within Networks
- Act as single point of co-ordination for all HSEQ monthly statistical analysis and reporting

**Skills and Requirements**
- ISO 9001,14001 & 18001 system implementation / management - significant experience
- Proven technical experience in electrical, mechanical or civil construction works
- Lead Auditor qualification and auditing experience
- Proven experience of Quality Management in an engineering and construction environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong influencing and consulting/communication skills
- Experience of collaboration with suppliers in an engineering and construction environment
- Proven experience of working with a portfolio of projects
- Ability to lead and work as part of a team HNC Electrical or Business topic
- Experience of quality management including working knowledge of ISO 9001 ideally within the electrical Industry
- Technical experience in electrical, mechanical or civil planning works is highly desirable
- Quality Assurance / control or process development experience
- Quality auditing qualification desirable
- Strong influencing and consulting/communication skills
- Proactively assist in the resolution of issues
- Experience of collaboration with suppliers or contractors
- Proven experience of working with a portfolio of projects
- Enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
- Results orientated
- Good communication skills at various levels

**Minimum Criteria**
- Quality experience in an operational business
- Proven experience in implementing and managing adherence to HSQE Management systems in an engineering and/or construction environment for a portfolio of projects
- HNC / HND Quality Management.
- Proven experience in business process mapping and planning.
