Overview:
Gallagher Bassett’s Claims Consultancy Team is project led, and can include Insourced Claims Handling, Audit and Review, and Training Projects. The Team are dedicated claims professionals who support clients, and Gallagher Bassett Operations Nationwide.

**Responsibilities**:

- UK wide role requiring travel and operating from client sites
- Review and record claims on insurance claims systems within product standards, check policy coverage and allocate appropriate codes and reserves in accordance with project requirements
- Make liability enquiries, in accordance with Client Philosophies / Gallagher Bassett Adjuster’s Manual, using most appropriate method (phone, correspondence, field visit).
- Evaluate quantum by gathering relevant evidence, adjusting reserves in accordance with Gallagher Bassett realistic reserving philosophy
- Clearly explain decisions on liability, negotiating settlement within authority level where appropriate
- Respond to all written and phone enquiries clearly, courteously and promptly.
- Review claims regularly using diary system to ensure accurate reserves and timely closure
- Develop relationships with clients by providing a friendly, efficient service
- Liaise with and control own solicitors to ensure cases not abandoned to them
- Assist in general team administration (e.g. post, printing, order supplies, maintaining equipment) to ensure smooth running of team
- Comply with all Client and Gallagher Bassett and office procedures
- Actively participate in Gallagher Bassett training programme
- Support, train and develop less experienced staff
- Promote and enhance Gallagher Bassett image
- Undertake Audits and other consultancy tasks as allocated
- Comply with all Gallagher Bassett and office procedures
- Any other duties as required by Gallagher Bassett

Qualifications:

- Wealth of experience gained from the Insurance and Claims Industry.
- Able to make quick and correct liability decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure, and with minimum supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Adaptable, and flexible.
- Excellent Client Facing behaviors.
