**Responsibilities**
- Opening claims on the office case management system / conducting initial enquiries;
- Sending letters of claim and telephone/correspondence negotiation with third parties and third party insurers to achieve settlement in the quickest possible time;
- Issuing court proceedings where required, and conduct of litigated claims to settlement or conclusion;
- On all own handled claims ensure full compliance with all office protocols, client service level agreements and client “key performance indicators”;
- Achieving on all own handled claims 100% data integrity compliance on the office case management system;
- Working within and supporting the team to achieve and maintain full compliance with all office protocols, client service level agreements and client “key performance indicators”;
- Full compliance with all financial transactions/Solicitors Accounts Rules;
- Handling the higher value/complex/client sensitive motor recovery claims, and those allocated to the Fast Track post issue of proceedings;
- Acting as a technical and procedural referral for claims handlers;
- Maximise fee earning opportunities without prejudicing the client recovery.

**Qualifications**
- Motor uninsured loss recovery handling in a legal/insurance/claims management environment to cover pre and post litigated claims (Essential).
- Demonstrable self-motivation and initiative (Essential).
- Ability to work independently as appropriate but within a defined structure and to work effectively with Peers and Managers (Essential).
- Able to display clear communication Skills (Essential).
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (Desirable).
- Experienced in acting as a mentor or referral point for junior team members (Desirable).
