**Job Summary**:
As Housekeeper of Bumbles on the Hill, you must ensure a safe and clean environment by completing daily cleaning / housekeeping tasks as per schedule set by the manager of the setting. You will help ensure that the high standards of care, service, safety and hygiene are maintained according to all Bumbles Day Care policies, procedures and routines. Bumbles on the Hill is a small ground floor setting made up of two adjacent buildings; The House and The Pods.

**Your role and responsibilities as Bumbles on the Hill’s Housekeeper include**:
**DAILY / WEEKLY TASKS**
- Daily cleaning of 4 child bathroom areas within the Pod building and The House team toilets.
- Replenishing bathroom stocks ie: toilet roll / paper towels / hand soap etc.
- Replenishing dispensers in all rooms and communal areas such as the staff room, e.g hand soap, hand towels etc.
- Brushing and mopping all areas.
- Keeping on top of housekeeping stock control - liaise with manager when stock of hand towels, toilet tissue, refill hand soap, refill antibac etc becomes low to ensure orders are made.
- Ensuring stock cupboard kept tidy.
- Ensuring bin area tidy outside at end of night. Check and empty all bins at end of night.
- Seasonal outdoor duties e.g clearing main entrance of leaves etc.
- Cleaning worktop surface and table in staffroom daily. Dishes should be washed and tidied away by team members.
- Periodic cleaning of fridge and microwave in staffroom.
- Cleaning windows and the main glass door windows.
- Spot cleaning any scuff / hand marks as and when seen or on woodwork etc. eg doors, radiator guards, bathroom woodwork.
- Checking if any washing /drying needs moved on.
- Cleaning washing machine and tumble dryer filter regularly to ensure longevity of machines.
- Boil wash mop heads weekly.
- Damp dust fire extinguishers / fire alarM/Fire glasses and other furniture / equipment.

**HEALTH & SAFETY**
- To ensure that care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, the staff, children and any persons on the premises in accordance with the health and safety policies.
- To observe all safety and hygiene rules, policies and procedures of Bumbles.
- To comply and adhere to fire policies and procedures.
- Depending on your start time, you may be alone on site. You will be required to make sure all lights are switched off and the building is locked / gates closed at end of night.
