**HR Advisor **(inside IR35)**

**Contract Term: 9 Months**

**Contracting Authority: Government Legal Department (GLD)**

**Location: Hybrid London or Leeds (40% in the office)**

Government Legal Department (GLD) have been successful in securing Ministerial agreement for an enhanced pay offer for their lawyers. The agreement covers the next two pay years (2023/24 and 2024/25) and will include the introduction of a new capability-based pay arrangement and proposed changes to terms and conditions as well as changes to pay impacting policies.

We are looking for 2 HR professionals to join our existing team for 9 months to support the development and implementation of GLD’s pay reform programme. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key pivotal role in an HR transformation programme.

You will work closely with HR colleagues across various disciplines (e.g. payroll, resourcing, employee services, policy) and other GLD Teams (e.g. communications, project delivery) to ensure the to ensure the success of the project.

**As an HR Advisor your main responsibilities would be**:

- Co-ordinate consultation and capability assessment activities, including drafting comms, responding to queries, and supporting the appeals process
- Ensure employee records are kept updated on MyHR (iTrent) throughout the programme and issue new contracts/variations of contract letters etc
- Responding to pay reform related queries and escalations from employees and regularly update and reissue FAQs, based on enquiries received
- Work closely with HR Policy Team to ensure a consistent, accurate and timely response to complex queries and escalations
- Assist with payroll calculations and cross-checking during peak periods
- Upskill the ES Team to manage impacted BAU processes and tasks post[1]implementation, including amending/creating desk instruction

**You’ll have relevant experience in**:

- Generalist HR experience, including a solid understanding of HR and Payroll
- processes and policies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with experience of
- drafting HR guidance for employees and line managers
- Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues and customers to understand their needs and expectations and keep them fully informed of plans, progress and solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, absorbing information quickly, meeting challenging deadlines and adapting to changing priorities
- A flexible mindset and a willingness to support colleagues with associated activities to ensure the success of the project
