**Your Role**:
As part of a friendly and committed London Career & Internships Team, this position contributes to the development and provision of all employability programmes for the international students at our London student centre. This includes internships (work placements), the business consulting course, volunteering, professional development workshops, and more. In addition to this core function, the role is responsible for contributing to the overall smooth running of London programmes at the study centre, collaborating closely with other teams and helping create a positive learning environment.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Research, develop and monitor internship sites (work placements) for our students at organisations and businesses throughout London.
- Work directly with businesses and organisations to help them understand the benefits of hosting a CEA CAPA internship student and to educate them on their responsibilities hosting an internship student.
- Assist with the arrival and orientation of incoming interns, provide follow-up supervision and act as an on-site advisor for issues relating to student internships. A high level of communication skills, problem solving ability, and emotional intelligence is required.
- Liaise with US- and London-based colleagues during the pre-arrival phase and create thorough and accurate pre-departure information for students and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate and assess internship programs and internship sites, utilising data and reports and meetings with internal colleagues and external university partners.
- Maintain all required databases to a high level of accuracy.
- Assist with other administrative tasks and projects within the Career & Internships office.
- Contribute to regular cross-functional meetings and committees.
- Participate in CEA CAPA activities such as welcome day, arrival and departure events, mid-term dinners, and other special events.
- Assist Program and Student Services or Academic Affairs at busy times; this would involve further student care and advising as well as administration. Cross training is provided.
- Carry an emergency mobile phone outside of office hours on a one-week basis (full training and back up resources will be provided).

**Required**
- Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant work experience
- Comfort and fluency within the area of undergraduates’ professional development and employability skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to sustain strong working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Comfort with a variety of methods to developing new relationships, including networking events, targeted outreach, and utilising existing contacts
- A creative and flexible approach to problem solving
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- The established legal right to work in the UK

**Desirable**
- Experience of working with students, especially with an understanding of the challenges international students face
- Knowledge of US higher education
- Working knowledge of London as a place to live, work, and study
