Due to a recent vacancy, we are looking for a keen and motivated Production Operative to join our dynamic team.

**Job Summary**:
As a Production Operative at Aplates, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. You will be responsible for operating the machines and lasers that are used to produce the components needed by our assembly team to put our number plates together.

You will take instructions from the business owner, using the machines to cut acrylic at his request. However, you will also be a self-starter, realising what should be done when the need arises.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate and monitor the machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Produce the stock needed by the production team, so they can maintain a steady assembly process.
- Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Participate in our improvement initiatives to optimise production processes and product quality.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Reliable and hardworking.
- Willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Can-do attitude.
- Computer literate.
- Confident working on your own.
