Cancer Research UK is looking for a qualified Finance & Reporting professional to play a crucial role in managing our technical financial reporting function. In this role, you will be solely responsible for the year-end audit and statutory accounts production, as well as deputising for the Finance Director at the Audit Committee when required.

Key Accountabilities:
- Manage and lead the annual external reporting process & consolidation, working closely with the auditors and other advisors-
- Oversee the production & review of all finance papers for the Audit Committee and deputise for the Finance Director at the Audit Committee as required-
- Ensure completion of regulatory returns pertaining to the statutory accounts, meeting all deadlines-
- Ensure consistency of approach across financial reporting and management reporting to ensure clarity of reporting to all audiences and ensure Exec Board and Council have full insight into Group structures and interdependenciesEssential Skills & Experience:
- CCAB or equivalent qualificationGood knowledge of financial modelling using Microsoft Excel-
- Highly numerate with strong financial technical expertise-
- Solid experience of writing Board & Audit Committee technical financial papers-
- Solid proven experience of being solely responsible for planning and delivery of year end audit & the production of the annual accounts-
- Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, able to interpret complex financial data objectively, delivering clarity and constructive challenge-
- Able to remain calm under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines is key to success in this role-
