We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, helpful and welcoming person, preferably with reception experience, who thrives in a busy, ever changing environment.

Good IT skills are essential, as is a calm and pleasant manner to welcome visitors and answer telephone calls.

**Main duties of the job**
- Booking patients into the Minor Injuries Department, scanning and uploading paperwork to RiO, sending referrals to other hospitals\departments. Checking x-ray reports, ordering crutches.
- Answering the telephone, taking messages and passing to appropriate personnel.
- Greeting clients as they arrive at the hospital, ensuring that all the client information held on the electronic patient record is correct.
- Informing clinicians of the arrival of the client.
- Arranging client transport as required.
- This position is based at Frome Community Hospital, however you will be required to cover MIU desks at both Shepton Mallet Community Hospital and West Mendip Community hospital on an adhoc basis.

- Experience of reception/administration duties
- Accurate word processing skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word.

**Salary**: £11.45 per hour
