Senior Support Worker - Children’s Home
**Location**:Derby Dale, Matlock
**Salary**:Up to £28,000
**Role**: Full-time, Permanent

Are you looking for a new opportunity in the care sector? We are currently recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a fantastic team in a residential setting, providing care and support to vulnerable young people.

This is a role where you will be working with a new reputable care provider in the area and will benefit from ongoing training and support to ensure you have everything you need to become successful in the role.

**Responsibilities of the Senior Support Worker**
- Supervising and supporting a team of support workers, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure that high standards of care are maintained.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in your care, working to safeguard them from harm and providing emotional and practical support.
- Supporting the development and implementation of care plans for the children in your care, working collaboratively with other professionals.
- Managing challenging behavior and de-escalating potentially harmful situations.
- Maintaining accurate records of the children's care and progress, including incident reports, care plans, and other relevant documentation.
- Promoting the social, emotional, and physical development of the children in your care, planning and implementing activities and programs that support their growth and development.
- Developing positive relationships with the children in your care, providing a positive role model and mentor.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Matlock: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Residential Childcare: 1 year (required)
- Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ Level 3 Childcare (required)
