**Business Development Manager**required for our client an expanding Energy company, who put progression and opportunity at the top of their list.

This is a great opportunity to join a successful team who are making a big impression in this sector. This role will focus on healthcare, local authority, and housing markets. Opportunity can be based in the South, Midlands & North.

**Business Development ManagerPosition Overview**
- Responsible for generating and pursuing new business opportunities in your designated area, through building a comprehensive territory plan with includes proactive prospecting, marketing campaigning and a combination of relationship building in amongstgroups and individuals within your territory area for your focus sector/ segment.
- Proactively manage your portfolio of customers to enable you to get to 'know your customers' identifying the key advocates and those that open new doors, demonstrating hunger and tenaciousness.
- Day to day management of a centralised pipeline for recording prospect value & progress
- Attending conferences, Bursar meetings, and any other events which are aligned with our target markets
- Price request, analysis, contract production and negotiation with customers including related administration
- Achievement of New Business Sales target and standard expectations
- Responsible for a small portfolio of renewals in addition to New Business activities
- Resolving general energy account queries both identified internally and from your customers
- Assisting the company to implement updates to company processes as a result of technology upgrade, process improvement, industry regulation etc.
- Provide backup for fellow BDM's when required (sick leave, annual holidays etc.)

**Business Development ManagerPosition Requirements**
- Technical understanding of both Gas and Electricity supply industry would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be given in order to deliver high level of credibility to perform your role
- Experience building territory plans/ managing pipelines and driving new business sales
- Demonstratable experience of achieving sales targets
- Sage CRM
- Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook
- Confident public speaker/ presenter
- Keen eye for analysis of contract documentation, options and writing analysis & proposals.
- Attending Conferences

**Business Development ManagerPosition Remuneration**
- £40,000 - £45,000
- Location: Home based, but with some travel for conferences and site visits, including overnight stays
- Core working hours: 8.30am-5.30pm
- Benefits

- 23 days holiday + bank holidays. Increasing to 25 days after 5 year's service.
