Our highly successful client based on the outskirts of Sunderland, is recruiting for an experienced Bids/Tenders Officer to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a highly sort after organisation who are growing rapidly and have a reputation for excellence

You will join a successful and established team, delivering professional and winning written responses to agreed bid deadlines, within various projects and sectors including Housing Maintenance / Social Housing / Local Authority and Renewables Installations.

You will ideally have a degree level qualification in English, Marketing, Journalism or a relevant sector or accredited Construction related experience.

The Role:

- Co-ordinate qualitative responses to ITT, PQQ, Frameworks, DPS and public procurement opportunities.
- Build upon existing and develop new content for bid submissions, demonstrating use of best practice and evidence from existing contract portfolio to validate the company's capabilities.
- Managing and responding to all procurement opportunities and identifying winning themes and bidding strategies.
- Re-win existing contracts at renewal as well as win new clients and new work-streams.
- Develop case studies, gathering evidence for the bid library, reworking and updating existing content in line with specific questions and bespoke to individual client requirements.
- Write proposal responses after obtaining input from internal stakeholders including field operations and quality management, demonstrating effective mobilisation and programme management.
- Work closely with the Compliance Director to maintain and improve the existing bid management processes.
- Achieving objectives in customer satisfaction, social value and supporting the company's Carbon Net Zero objectives.
- You will be an experienced Bid Writer, capable of creating content from scratch as well as updating and improving historical submissions.
- You will have previous experience working as a bid writer, ideally within the civil engineering or construction sector.
- You will ideally have some experience managing or mentoring a team.
- You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong project management and timekeeping skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, working to tight deadlines.
- You will need to have access to your own transport due to location.
